Marketing Director/Head of Marketing

Srijan is looking for a “Head of Marketing“. See the job description here (PDF). A summary is given below:
- an MBA from tier-1 or tier-2 MBA institutes in India
- experience in corporate and institutional sales, in selling software or software services (such as corporate websites, portals, e-commerce websites, web-based applications)
- experience in new client acquisition through direct sales, and reference sales made through current customer
- experience in generating international leads specifically in USA and Europe
- experience gathering, documenting requirements, and writing proposals for small to medium sized projects ($10,000 to $100,000)
- can negotiate contracts for websites, portals, and web-based business applications
- can write technical and commercial proposals for such contracts
- identify industry verticals where existing solutions built by Srijan over the years could be re-used
- write SLAs for maintenance of these projects
- very well networked
- experience in using social networking tools such as LinkedIn, Xing and other business networking sites, to generate business leads
- uses Twitter (and other similar tools) for networking and web branding
- experience in lead generation and sales of CMS solutions based on proprietary or open source software
- familiar with Drupal, TYPO3, Joomla or other Content Management Systems
- manage getting publicity for Srijan in web and print media to position Srijan’s brand, using his/her personal media network
- experience in writing business plans for products
- create a web marketing strategy for selling SaaS products
- highly self-motivated
- good value systems
- preferably an educational background in technology (Diploma/Bachelors in computers)
- owns a Blog and writes often on a wide-variety of topics, specifically technology and marketing
- experience in defining Google Adwords marketing; testing and redoing the strategy for maximising campaign effectiveness
